How to Receive the Gift of Eternal Life
Step One - Start Here:
Did you know that God is still pure and holy but all humans are now defiled and unholy. Did you know that Adam and Eve once enjoyed intimate fellowship with God but that because of their rebellion against God's command they lost close intimate fellowship with God. Did you know that we inherited our rebellious sin nature from Adam and Eve. Did you know that because of our sin nature we too have lost close intimate fellowship with God? Did you know that God created us to have fellowship with Him and when we do not have fellowship with God there is a sense of void in our lives? (Romans 3:23; 6:23; Isaiah. 64:6)
Step Two - Next Look Here:
Did you know God still loves us in spite of our sins, our unclean lips, our dirty minds, and our wicked ways (John 3:16). Because no human is able to conquer sin alone, God sent His Son to us (Isaiah 9:6). His name was Jesus. Born of a virgin, He was sinless. He is also called the Messiah. He came that:
Step 3 - Now Over here:
Did you know that the wages of sin, eventually, is death, eternal, spiritual death, but that the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ? The blood that Jesus shed on Mt. Calvary still has power to wash away our stain of sin, to remove our guilt, release all captives and set us free, save us from eternal death, deliver us out of darkness us into His marvelous light, to give us strength from day to day. No, His blood will never loose it's power! Because Jesus shed His innocent blood as full payment for not only your sin but for the sins of the whole world, the opportunity to receive the gift of eternal life is now available to you (Rom 5:8; 1 Corinthians 15:3-6; John 14:6; 1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 5:5,8).
Step 4 - Here it is!
Did you know that because God gave you a free will you must choose to accept His gift of eternal life. God will not force Himself upon you. You must want Him and ask Him to come into Your life. If You ask Jesus to come into your life as your personal Lord and Savior, God will work a miracle in your life. God is listening. If you pray to God this simple prayer, 'Dear God, I admit that I've done wrong, I do not want to continue to live in a way that displeases You, help me to turn from my old way and live in a new way that pleases You, I believe You sent Your son Jesus to save me from the power of sin, I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior and invite You to come into my life." Then God's spirit will come in you and out of your heart will flow rivers of living water (John 7:38; John 1:12; Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 8:1,9,11,13-17; 1 John 5:11?13; Revelations 3:20).
Step 5 - And Don't Forget This
Your enemy is the fallen angel called Lucifer and his legend of demons. He is also known by many other names. The devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Although He is a murderer and the father of lies, he can only do what God allows and permits him to do. When God created him, God created him with only a little power. God has all power. The devil is mad at you because even though he also rebelled against God, God's plan of salvation is only for humans, not fallen angels. His days are numbered. He knows his time is short before he will be thrown in the lake of fire. He constantly goes before God and accuses us of our unworthiness to have eternal life. Jesus intercedes. The old serpent uses trickery, pretense, lies and deception. He distorts the truth, he wants you to believe a lie, he wants you to die. Study to God's word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15; 3:16-17). . Don't ever feel alone, Jesus is in heaven interceding for you, guardian angels are around you, God's Spirit dwells in you and is working through you, the devil is afraid of you. Put on the armor of God. If the devil attacks, resist him and he will flee. At times God working in you and through you will put you in the mist of a spiritual battle and you will have the privilege and duty to, by His power, not only break but destroy the works of the devil, to God's glory. Develop the spiritual disciplines of daily bible study, prayer, and periodic fasting. Join a good bible based church and get involved in some ministry. Resist the devil and he will flee from you (1 Peter 5: 8-9; James 4:7; John 8:44; Romans 8:31-39; 2 Corinthians 4:8-11, 16-18; 1 John 4:4; Romans 8:28, Ephesians 6:10-18).
